ALBA AUREA is a monument combining sound, engineering, and alchemy. It’s a monumental gong oriented along the East-West axis to reflect the sun as a symbol of Miami (“The City of the Sun”) as a symbol of life, power, and glory. Each day an attendant will give the official greeting to the sun, by playing the gong at dawn, at noon, and at sunset.

This symbol of dynamism, power, and radiant energy finds his fulcrum in Miami as its pilot project. From the "City of Sunshine" in the sunny Florida, ALBA AUREA will be soon disseminated to other Cities all around the world.
The Sun in the Ocean.
ALBA AUREA is made in gold-coated metal and concrete armour. Its dimensions are
165X330 ft.
ALBA AUREA was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci and the Golden Ratio or Divine proportion. This was said to be a reflection of the perfection of God, which can be found in geometry, nature, and the human body.
Sacred geometry is intricately
connected to the principles of the
Universe. The human body has Golden Ratio
proportions. The curves of a seashell, the
spirals of a galaxy, and the Mona Lisa, all
contain the Fibonacci sequence, which
expresses the mathematical progression
of the Golden Ratio.
The Golden Ratio is a special number equal to approximately 1.618, which relates to the Fibonacci sequence which shows the evidence of a sacred geometry throughout nature marking the rhythm of divine creation.
The columns of life.
The meaning of the columns is related to
the universe and the development of the
human being. Both in the cosmic dimension and in the human dimension, the columns symbolizes “stability” and "foundation".
An harmonizer for the Soul.
Since ancient times, the Gongs have been considered beneficial tools that
radiate positivity.
The ritual of Greeting the Sun.
Each day an attendant will give the official Greeting to the Sun, by playing the gong at dawn,
at noon, and at sunset.
The ritual will not only be a major tourist attraction, but also a great
opportunity for the economy at large.
The power of community.
In the night, ALBA AUREA will be
illuminated by a game of light.
This game will involve the community who will interact via an ALBA AUREA app. Through the app, everyone will be able to click on a one dollar lumen and
make a wish to the Sun.
Every click will add more light to ALBA AUREA, and the donations will be entirely devolved to a yearly elected non-profit entity.
ALBA AUREA will save an island.
It is a known issue, according to a
report from a NASA, sea levels around Miami
are rising approximately one inch
every three years and may
completely render parts of the city
unlivable by 2040.
The engineering work envisaged for the construction of ALBA AUREA was designed to avert the risk of the island sinking.
Part of the profits will be used for
the preservation and enhancement of the
maritime ecosystem, taking
action to rebuild and preserve the reef around
the island where ALBA AUREA will rise.
